Rehoboth Terrace Holiday Cottage
Reviews
Denise & Steve (1 dog)- Sept 2024
"Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing week exploring the stunning island of Anglesey - we were blessed with mostly sunny days that made the vistas and coastline even more spectacular!

The accommodation was fabulous, every need had been addressed and some really thoughtful touches - the sensor lights are great. Liked the lamps that you could charge your mobile into. We don't have Alexa at home so interested to find out what the little pods were for and made use of music rather than TV.
It's nice to stay somewhere with character and connection to the owners, rather than Ikea-style holiday cottages with no personality."
Alison & Neil (3 dogs)- July 2024
"First time to the island and cottage - will defo be back.
Communication from Beccie all the way through was great and very informative. Good hospitality is hard to find!
Cottage was lovely - fabulous set up for 3 generations of family and 3 dogs.
Local area and the island are fabulous.
Thanks for a great week for us all - we will be back"
Cheryl & Paul (2 dogs) - July 2024
"This is our 7th time here at the cottage. Beccie and Ian cannot do enough for you.
They have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible - a real home from home!
The dogs absolutely love it here and they really do get depressed when they have to leave.... I know how they feel!
Until next year, thanks for everything!"
Helen & Karen (6 dogs) - June 2024
"My 3rd visit - absolutely love it here! Love everything and appreciate the on-going love and work Beccie and Ian have put into this home!
I would recommend Rehoboth Terrace to anyone - but not too much as hope to book again most years!"

"Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. I have never stayed in a holiday let so well equipped. The cottage is cosy, comfortable, with everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The garden is beautiful and the view is stunning. Mum and dad have been coming here for years but this was our first stay - will definitely be returning!"
Clare & Jim (1 puppy; 6 kids) - August 2023
"We love it here!!!!!!
We have spent a few years holidaying in Rhosneigr and have always rented with Beccie & Ian.
There's NOTHING to dislike with the house - it's all here! We've cooked in, eaten out, drank, walked and sunbathed (just a few days of warm beach weather, but that's Britain!!)
Copper has loved his first family holiday here with us and the crate for sleeping in is perfect. Full night's sleep all round!"
Dan & Kaylee (3 dogs) - July 2023
"We give this place 10 paws out of 10 paws!

Perfectly set up for hols with the pups. First time we have not been on edge while away with them.
Set up great for kids too and the teenagers didn't complain
Everything we needed was here and much more - very well set up.
Area and beaches fabulous!
We will be back!!"

"House - perfect; Location - perfect; weather - perfect!

There can be no moans for this home, for sure! Yep, you cannot replicate everyone's house, but surely that's the adventure! I've been in many dog-friendly.... so-called.... and this is for sure top of the league with everything you need.
Location - well we've been everywhere in a short drive ie, Benllech, Red Wharf Bay, Beaumaris, Holyhead Park, Newborough Forest and many times in the dunes with my younger dog at Rhosneigr and behind the Oyster Catcher. Many trips OK with our older lady with her pram!

For sure not enough time to explore all - everyone so friendly (Oyster Catcher especially!) and hope to return!"
Tracey & Jon (3 dogs) - March 2023
"What a wonderful place this is! We know Anglesey very well, but have found some lovely walks and beaches (and a lake!) that we haven't done before.
House has everything you need. The most dog-friendly we have stayed at.
We look forward to staying here again, thank you!"
Gill, John & Jackie (7 dogs) - October 2022
"Lovely house, equipped with everything we needed. We managed to park our transporter van on the drive which was good! Dogs had a wonderful time exploring the beaches."
Clare & Eric (3 dogs) - September 2022
"Great stay. House is lovely and very well equipped. Kitchen nice and big, couldn't find anything we needed that wasn't provided.

Loved the open fire and cosy nights in watching TV.

Dogs had a lovely time too. Look forward to staying again in the future. Also loved watching the jets going over."
Linda & Roy - November 2018
"Another week here nearly finished .
Have had another relaxing time . Out walking the dogs every day , Newborough forest , Parys mountain ( well worth seeing ), Cemaes , Amlwch creek and lots of local walks .
Chilling out on our return to the house after a nice shower or bath . Been a bit cold this week but if you wrap up it’s not a problem .
200 mile journey home tomorrow but never mind it was worth it .
Well worth a visit if you have never been before , big house well equipped for you and your dog’s needs , in a quiet location ( take no notice of the jets! They are part of the experience."
Karen - August 2018
"Just had a lovely week at Rehoboth cottage, the house is amazing it has everything you need, the view from the back garden is amazing and so relaxing, the walks and the scenery are breath taking, and to sit in the garden and watch the planes fly over was fab, all in all had a fantastic week wish we had gone for two weeks one was not enough as we didnt get to see everything this lovely place has to offer but will book again without a doubt. Thank you Beccie and Ian for sharing your lovely home with us"
Laura & Shane - August 2018
"I would recommend Rehoboth Terrace to everybody who wants to stay in a beautiful home in the beautiful country of Anglesey. Beccie and Ian make you feel so welcome and cater for your every need....we are a larger family with lots of children...they were never bored...there are games, books, and my kids favourite...binoculars!! They were watching the planes fly over everyday and all the birds and wildlife.

We have one dog and she feels so settled there....there is everything you need for dogs they really make them feel welcome in their home too.

The walks around the house are amazing and the people are lovely in the little street where the house is!

We came here for the first time in December 2016...although it was winter it was still beautiful..the scenery is amazing...but the house has got better and better...there have been lots of changes and now an added shower room which is brilliant for us as a big family.

We will keep coming here for a long time. Thankyou Beccie, Ian and Rosie for a fantastic holiday!"
Steve & Maggie - July 2018
"Just returned from a weekend at Rehoboth cottage, had a fantastic time as usual, we have been staying at the cottage for a few years now, it has everything you could ever need for the family and the dogs, the improvements Beccie and Ian have done since our last stay are excellent, the shower room is just out of this world, we were so impressed with it , we are buying the same shower for our home, our stays at Rehoboth just get better and better as we explore the areas around Anglesey , we are going back in September for a week and cant wait, the cottage offers peace and quiet and most of all comfort, everything else is there for you, just turn up with your belongings and settle in. It really is a home from home, we have stayed at many cottages in the British Isles but this is by far the best, keep up the good work Beccie and Ian."
Cheryl & Paul - July 2018
"We have just spent our second visit for four nights with our four dogs and once again we were not disappointed.
In fact, the house is more spectacular than we remembered it two years ago! This really is the place to be and Beccie and Ian have thought of everything and I mean everything!
The doggies loved their welcome treats and the milk left in the fridge for us was a God send for the morning cuppa!
Our dogs are the happiest we have ever known them to be when they are staying at the cottage. They have the beach and the lake to swim in every day. The walks are picturesque and even on rainy days (which we have been lucky to avoid) there is plenty to do at the house. We love it here so much, we have just filled in the booking form for next year!
Thank you for an amazing holiday and lots of woofs and licks from Izzy, Teddy, Bella & Zena.
We cant wait to be back!"
Kay & Tony - May 2017
"This has to have been the best-equipped self-catering we have ever stayed in! Absolutely anything you think you might need - it's in a cupboard somewhere and it became a game to try and think of something not available.
It was spacious enough for three adults and six dogs without feeling crowded at all, clean and comfortable without being so "posh" that we would be afraid to take dogs there. (some places advertised as dog-friendly are actually barely dog-tolerant). There is so much to see and do on Anglesey and this cottage is perfectly positioned for all of it. The walk from the door into Rhosneigr via the lake is beautiful but there is another beach just down the road a mile or two with no walking to get there from the car park - ideal for our elderly girl who enjoys a potter but can't manage a long walk or sand dunes. Newborough Forest has beautiful walks - both the beach one and the Red Squirrel one and Beaumaris gave us a great day out.
A week just isn't enough and we will be back next year."
Liz & Bob - May 2017
"We recently stayed at Rehoboth Terrace with our 3 dogs. The cottage is comfortable, spacious and very relaxing. It is very well equipped and was ideal for our dogs with a safe, private garden which has lovely views over the fields. We enjoyed daily walks to the beach via the lake and barbecues in the garden. Beccie and Ian were at the end of the phone for anything we needed to ask and we highly recommend their cottage for a holiday. The location is absolutely perfect and we really didn't want to leave."
Julie & Donald - March 2017
"Just back from another brilliant week here...we were four adults and... seven dogs and couldn't have asked for nicer accommodation or a better area to be at...Anglesey has everything we needed for our dogs including what must be THE best dog friendly pub ever !! Pop into the Oyster Catcher...great food and very welcoming to dogs. We did a different dog walk every day...Newborough Forest is perfect...it's a woodland walk that leads to a super beach and Llanddwyn Island...we also visited Benllech Beach, Red Wharf Bay and Rhosneigr Beach to name but a few. The cottage is spacious, warm, clean and comfortable and we've spent most of our days dog walking then coming "home" to a relaxing evening in front of a log fire...this is our second trip this year and we can't wait to go again 10/10 for everything !!!"
Steve & Maggie - November 2016
"We have just returned from a week at Rehoboth Terrace. What can i say. This is the best place we have stayed with our 3 dogs. It has everything you could ever need. its just a home from home. Becci and Ian have got it bang on. The garden is secure so you can let the dogs out in the garden knowing they're safe. The area is very good for dog walking with beaches near by. And most of the visiting areas are only a short drive away. We will be going back next year for 2 or 3 holidays. I would recommend this cottage to anyone and have already told all my friends about it."
Dawn & Andrew - October 2016
"A wonderful cozy spacious house overlooking fields. It really felt like a home from home, everything we could possibly need was there. The area was a stones throw away from many dog friendly beaches and picturesque walks. The owners kindly accommodated our four little dogs who absolutely loved it. Would gladly recommend to anyone.!"
Cath & Barry & family and Chewie the dog - August 2016
"Simply the best-equipped holiday cottage we've ever stayed in. Brilliant! So comfortable, you really have thought of everything. We will recommend you to our friends!"
Sharon & Steve S and Pogo the dog - July 2016
"This house has everything you need for a relaxing break. A lot of thought has been put in by the owners to ensure you and your dog have everything you need. We have enjoyed lots of walks and reading. The tranquility and scenery from the back of the house was so relaxing even when it rained - curling up with a book and a cuppa was blissful in these surroundings! Thank you Beccie and Ian for your thoughtfulness - we don't want to go home, but hopefully we can come back soon!"
Amanda M - July 2016
"Hi Ian and Beccie,
Finally a chance to say what fab time we all had. So glad we stumbled on your special offer this summer. As you know, it was all done on a last minute whim but between 3 mums and 4 children, we were all so made up with what we arrived to. Your cottage feels homely and we had everything we needed. None of us were planning a break away this summer and the timing just worked perfectly. We've seen and enjoyed so much...the kids were in their element! The little film of the porpoise we saw is on its way to you! And aside from the house and all we got out from being there, you have been brilliant. You've done so much to accommodate our needs and make the break possible; a very generous helping hand in making things work for us. I have told people about you, as I found out about you through another friend who posted you on FB. It is a relaxed home, accommodating the needs of families brilliantly. Our dog missed out this time but he too would be very happy! Thanks so much! Amanda"
Kathryn M and Laila the dog - July 2016
"Loved it. Beccie is a true dog lover which suits me down to the ground. The house is great. Very spacious and well maintained. My GSD enjoyed the garden too and her welcome treats. Nothing was too much trouble and even the cleaning lady is a gem, I had the pleasure of meeting her. Rhosneigr is beautiful and the beaches are amazing and dog friendly yeahhhhhhh. I have a love affair with Anglesey and I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again next year xx thanks so much."
Phil B & family and Suzie the dog - July 2016
"We had a lovely holiday! Your house is great - there was every thing we needed. Plenty of space for the eight of us and Suzie the greyhound loved to relax in the garden - with the patio doors open she could wander in and out without us having to worry about her. Our two grandsons had plenty of space to play in the dinning room and loved playing on the x box.
It was our first time in Anglesey - we didn't realise how beautiful the beaches are and there is so much to see. We went somewhere different every day, we all loved it!

We would recommend Greenwood park for children - it's a great adventure park and our boys loved it. Take a packed lunch as there are plenty of picnic areas. Also, a walk on the beach in the evening is a must. Caernarfon Castle is a great family day out, a fantastic ice cream parlor just nearby cant be missed."

"First time staying in a holiday home for my husband, my children and myself. This house was better than expected in many ways. There was a cot ready for my baby with sheet and duck towel and my toddler had farm bedding and frog towel - both loved this! There were safety gates where you needed them and extra to put upstairs which was ideal for us.
The best part was having all the baby equipment there such as high chair, bowls and spoons and booster seat. There was a wide variety of toys too, similar to what we had at home which saved us room in our bags! Everything was so presentable and the amount of space was great. Plenty of room for the kids to run about on rainy days! There were many items there that we would never have thought we needed which was ideal. There were also plenty of games, books and dvds if we managed to get bored too.
We found the area very baby friendly but the roads were often hard with the pram due to no pavement near the station - but with little traffic, it wasn't a major issue. The local pub was very accommodating and the food was amazing. It was ideal to get to via train which was good for us as I'm nervous driving in strange areas and it would have been unfair to coop the kids up in the car for so long.
I think the only problem we found was that a lot of things - in the Living Room in particular - were at baby height but it just meant we had to be more vigilant or use the Dining/Sitting Room instead which had more light anyway. It would be great if some sort of pen cold be obtained in the future as it would take away that worry of what the baby is going to pull out - however this is more of a luxury than a necessity!
Overall we both fell in love with the house and are keen to come back in the future to do more exploring when the kids are a bit older. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend to families of all sizes!"
Katherine S & families - August 2015
"Thank you so much Ian and Beccie for the loan of your lovely house. The accommodation was fab and we couldn't have wished for bigger or better arrangements. We had a large group but never felt like we were too close to one another (thank goodness).
Most of us made full use of the garden and we nearly wore out the binoculars because of birds, buzzards and 'hawks', ie the airplanes. In fact I forgot what my mother looked like as all I saw all week was the lenses.
The area was great and was in walking distance of Rhosneigr. Anglesey itself was fab and all the places we visited (and there were lots) we thoroughly enjoyed. The good roads were a bonus.
Thank you again for getting back to me when I asked about ideas - it was a great idea!"

"We had a lovely family holiday in Beccie and Ians holiday home on Anglesey. Their house is a lovely comfortable house - very convenient for touring around North Wales. It is very well equipped with loads of pots, pans and cutlery. We are definitely going back next year for the motor racing in North Wales."
Gill & Lisa G & families and Alfie the dog - August 2015
"No 1 Rehoboth Terrace was a great place for a family summer holiday in Anglesey. The house itself is lovely, with lots of space for all the family, big comfy bedrooms, a large well-equipped kitchen and utility room, and a safe garden. We all (3-60+) enjoyed the books, games and toys provided, and never turned the TV on once!
The house is a short peaceful walk from the beaches and from the village of Rhosneigr, and we cycled and walked farther afield most days, although watching the buzzards from the back garden tempted me to stay home.
From 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri the west of Anglesey is treated to the sight of RAF trainer planes and jets, which are surprisingly quiet most of the time. The view of them doing circuits and bumps right over the garden was amazing, but there were only short-lived bursts of activity - not enough to be a nuisance."
Helen M & family and Roxy & Pip the dogs - October 2014
"Just returned from a fabulous week's stay at Beccie and Ian's house. There were 7 of us plus two dogs and there was plenty of space for us all. The house was well-equipped, warm and comfortable. We appreciated having the two living spaces so the younger members could play on the XBox whilst the older ones sat and chatted, read and listened to music in the other room. There were some really nice touches such as the fleecy blankets which were lovely to snuggle up in after a long day out. We made good use of the wide selection of board games too.
The house is situated not far from the beach and near some lovely spots. We particularly enjoyed walking along the beach to Rhosneigr, and walking along Newborough Beach to Llanddwyn Island. Our favourite day of all was visiting Breakwater Country Park and walking up Holyhead Mountain and round to South Stack - fantastic views of Anglesey and Snowdon. Although we spent a week there we felt there was so much more of Anglesey to explore and we'll undoubtedly be back. In the meantime though, the dogs (see the Doggie Hall of Fame in the Dog Section!) are grateful for a rest - never have they walked so far in one week!"
Joan, Sean & Amanda, and Archie & Amelia the dogs - September 2014.
"We recently enjoyed a relaxing week’s holiday at Rehoboth Terrace. The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with pleasant open rural views. A home from home. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which was dry, warm and sunny (almost too hot on our day out to Newborough beach). However we felt that there was plenty to entertain us in the house had rain kept us indoors. We appreciated the peace and quiet but got terribly excited by the sight of the jets flying over to and from RAF Valley!
Our two dogs (see the Doggie Hall of Fame in the Dog section!) had a good time with several walks to Rhosneigr beach where, never having been to the seaside before, they had a great time paddling, surfing the waves, digging in the sand and making friends with other dogs.
We humans went to the National Trust property Plas Newydd which is well worth a visit; an interesting house and beautiful gardens overlooking the Menai Strait. Another trip was to Beaumaris to see the castle which, although never finished after 35 years of construction, (did they fall out with the builders?) is an impressive sight.
Recommended for a meal out is the Oystercatcher restaurant in Rhosneigr where we went on our last evening. Really lovely food and good service.
We had never been to Anglesey before but would certainly go again as there was much we didn’t have time to take in."
Ann and family - August 2014
"A lovely, spacious home with views over open farmland. We enjoyed eating at the breakfast bar, watching the wildlife and waiting for the Hawks to fly by.
The children (and adults) appreciated the quiet, local beaches with the vast stretches of sand and numerous rock pools. With such wonderful beaches surrounding Rhosneigr there was no need to travel further afield.
There are plenty of maps and books available for planning journeys to other parts of Anglesey, or just relaxing with in the the evening in the lovely dining/sitting room.
My grandchildren (7&8 yrs) climbed Snowdon and exhausted their energies on the beautiful beaches.
This area must be one of the most peaceful holiday resorts in the whole of the UK!"
Ralph, Alison M, David, Dan & Anna, Josh - July 2014
"My name is Ralph and I am a Springer Spaniel. My family took me to Beccie and Ian's holiday home in Anglesey and here is my review.
The location is great, in dog walking distance to unspoilt beaches where I could run and swim safely.
The house and garden were really dog friendly and the family loved it! One day they had an awesome BBQ and I managed a sausage or two.
As well as fantastic beaches, I visited South Stack, good for birdwatching, and also Snowdonia. The photo I have added to my review shows me having fun in a lake in Snowdonia...just a dog friendly car ride away.
So if you have want a great holiday with your family and loveable hound, look no further! Dog beds and toys are included too!"
Sarah B - July 2014
"We had a fantastic week in a very sunny Wales (apart from 1 day when we visited Beaumaris and got soaked to the skin - apparently the weather was lovely in Llanfaelog!). The location of the house is fantastic - it's quiet, yet a not too long walk into the beautiful resort of Rhosneigr which has the most stunning beaches, a very good chippy & a café that sells the local ice cream. The local shop sold Marmite so I was very happy & the cash machine was free too so that was a bonus. A walk to Llyn Maelog is a must, especially on a sunny evening, & if you go in Autumn then the Black Thorns are full of Sloes - worth picking for putting in gin.
The house is great, plenty of room for 5 adults & 3 dogs, with stunning views and a lovely garden (the fruit was nice too!) It's well equipped with most things you will need for an enjoyable stay & we found the leaflets, books & maps very handy. If you do want to venture off the island then its not too far to Snowdon - if you want to go up by train book very early, in advance if possible, and be warned it's £27 return, no concessions, but we went up the free way!!
We found the people of the village very friendly which is always nice, in fact we were told that we must go for a swim at Cable Bay (Porth Trecastel) and have a look at Barclodiad y Gawres Burial Chamber, this was definitely a good call & it’s a great little beach to relax & have a swim. For history buffs like me there is so much to do what with all the burial chambers, ancient settlements, hillforts etc, some in walking distance. There is so much more to see as well for all tastes with a short drive, it will take many years to sample the delights of Anglesey and I am sure we will be back for more.
You will never get bored of visiting Ian & Beccie's. Quoting my Mum: So much to do so little time..."
Rachael - June 2014
"The location is ideal; set in a lovely peaceful area with Rhosneigr within walking distance, with shops and eateries and a lovely beach. There are plenty of walks/footpaths from the house as well as being on a bus route; and only a short drive away from the main A55, which meant we spent very little time driving to our destinations. There are also plenty of parking spaces opposite the premises.
The house itself is huge! There are large spacious rooms including a well-equipped kitchen. The sheltered garden is lovely, with views over the fields and plenty of seating to get out of (or in!) the sun.
There are books and maps available of the local area in the house which we found really useful when planning our trips. There were also dvds and a selection of novels, but we were too busy discovering this lovely island to view these!
Highlights of the holiday were visiting different parts of the coastline; South and North stack, Church bay, Ynys y Fydlin bay; Beaumaris village; castle, gaol, shops and boat trips; Cadnant gardens and Parys mountain"
Alex & Mike - June 2014
"We spent a lovely week there in early June, escaping from the chaos and noise of life in Sheffield. The area is absolutely gorgeous and we spent many happy hours just walking around discovering Anglesey. The house itself is set in a peaceful and picturesque location, with fantastic views to the rear and lovely walks just minutes away. When we were too tired (lazy!) to go out, we sat in the pretty garden listening to the birds and watching the planes flying to and from RAF Valley.
The house is very well appointed and Beccie and Ian have thought of pretty much everything you might need on holiday, plus quite a lot more. Our most favourite spot by far was the lounge-diner, with two comfy recliners complete with footstools where we basically... well.... lounged, to our hearts content. The bedroom was lovely too with a really comfy bed and lovely thick carpet which you could sink your feet into in the morning. It's the little stuff that makes the difference and we definitely felt at home and very relaxed while we were there.
Our top tips for great days out: Newborough (so lovely, I'd actually drive from Sheffield to Anglesey for the day!); Plas Newydd (we're NT members so was free for us); Penrhos park (brilliant hill for kite-flying); Beaumaris (chocolate-box pretty and nice little shops)."
Tony - May 2014
"Very comfortable, extremely well equipped large holiday home. A great base for exploring all corners of Anglesey and North Wales. Lovely walks from the door, with superb beaches very close by. The children loved the view of trains and jets from the railway bridge!"
Dan C, Em, Robbie (8), James (5) & Billy (2) - April 2014
"We had a fabulous week's holiday here in early April 2014.
As newcomers to Anglesey, we had no idea what to expect, but found that this was the perfect place from which we could explore the whole island.
The house is easy to relax in, easily spacious enough for a (very) large family. Bedrooms are all a good size and very comfortable, and with a telly in most of them it meant that the kids didn't disturb us too early! Downstairs there are two large lounge rooms, one with a dining table easily able to sit 8 and with lots of toys/books/dvds to entertain when needed. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need, including for children of any age. The garden is safe, secure and sheltered and has lovely views of the fields behind the house, which can be shared by those sitting in the two comfy recliners looking out of the large lounge window.
The local beach is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the house and is a great beach for making sand castles (there's a handy book in the house for the untrained!). It also has some of the best sunsets I have ever seen!
A 2 minute drive away is the village of Rhosneigr which has a few shops, quite a few cafe's and is great for getting really close to the RAF planes as they take off. Further afield, the A55 dual carriageway which runs the length of Anglesey, and is seemingly always quiet, means the rest of the island is easily accessible by car.
The places we would recommend are:
-
South Stacks - bird sanctuary/great cliff top walking
-
Beaumaris - easily the best castle we have been to as a family
-
Newborough Forest - great woodland/coastal location for walking or biking
-
Cemaes - idyllic village with nice beach (and great fish & chips)"
